King's donation on SR300m a humane gesture

JEDDAH: Second Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Prince Naif, who is also the supervisor general of the King Abdullah Campaign for Pakistan, expressed his pleasure at the king's donation of SR300 million on behalf of the people of Saudi Arabia.
"In truth the policy of King Abdullah to offer instant relief to the victims of calamities anywhere in the world has put the Kingdom in the forefront of nations that offer assistance and relief to victims of afflictions. It has also made the Kingdom eligible for the title 'the Humanitarian Kingdom," Prince Naif said.
Prince Naif also called on all people in the Kingdom to make the campaign a huge success in a statement quoted by the Saudi Press Agency on Friday.
The Kingdom launched a nationwide fundraising campaign on Monday for Pakistan's flood victims, on the instructions of the king. The king inaugurated the campaign by giving SR20 million while Crown Prince Sultan, deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, donated SR10 million and Prince Naif SR5 million to the fund.
